Abstract
Cilj rada je procjena učestalosti bakterija porodice Enterobacteriaceae rezistentnih na antibiotike u različitim namirnicama. Istraživanja su provedena od travnja do lipnja 2018. godine, a ukupno je analizirano 38 namirnica. Izolacija i identifikacija bakterija je provedena standardnim mikrobiološkim metodama. Osjetljivost izolata određena je metodom disk difuzije na 13 antibiotika, dok je produkcija β-laktamaza proširenog spektra (ESBL) utvrđena metodom dvostrukog diska. U istraživanim uzorcima izolirano je šest različitih vrsta bakterija. Najveću učestalost imala je Klebsiella pneumoniae nakon koje slijede Enterobacter aerogenes, E. cloacae, te Escherichia coli i Citrobacter sp. Izolati E. coli bili su rezistentni na ampicilin, tetraciklin, piperacilin, astreonam, te trimetoprim-sulfametoksazol. Izolirane vrste roda Enterobacter ukazuju na visoki stupanj rezistencije. Također, visoka razina rezistencije uočena je kod K. pneumoniae izolata. U izolatima K. pneumoniae dokazano je prisustvo TEM, SHV, CTX tip β-laktamaza. Dobiveni rezultati će pridonijeti boljem razumijevanju uloge hrane kao mogućeg rezervoara rezistentnih bakterija i njihovih gena.
Abstract (english)
The aim of this study was to determine the prevalence of antibiotic resistant bacteria in the Enterobacteriaceae. The research was conducted from April to June 2018, and a total of 38 foods were analyzed. Isolation and identification of different types of Enterobacteriaceae was performed by standard microbiological methods. Sensitivity of the isolates was determined by the disc diffusion method at 13 antibiotics, while the β-lactamase extended spectrum production (ESBL) was determined by the double disk method. Six different species of bacteria were isolated in the investigated samples. The highest frequency had Klebsiella pneumoniae followed by Enterobacter aerogenes, E. cloacae, and Escherichia coli and Citrobacter sp. Isolated E. coli were resistant to ampicillin, tetracycline, piperacillin, astreonam, and trimethoprim-sulfamethoxazole. Isolated species of Enterobacter indicate a high level of resistance. Also, a high level of resistance was observed in K. pneumoniae isolates. In the isolates of K. pneumoniae, the presence of TEM, SHV, CTX type of β-lactamases were demonstrated. The achieved results will contribute to a better understanding the role of food as a potential reservoir of resistant bacteria and their genes.
