Abstract
Cilj ovog završnog rada je predstavljanje nove definicije SI jedinice amper uzimanjem fiksne numeričke vrijednosti elementarnog naboja e, te realizacije ampera tehnologijom prijenosa pojedinačnih elektrona - SET. U radu se iznosi analiza dva fizikalna fenomena na kojima se bazira SET kod klasičnih vodiča, poluvodiča i kod supravodiča: tuneliranje elektrona kroz potencijalne barijere i Coulombova blokada. Zatim je dan prikaz različitih implementacija prijenosa pojedinačnih elektrona u vremenu. Fokus je postavljen na izvedbi kvantiziranih strujnih izvora: metalične crpke pojedinačnih elektrona, poluvodički kvantizirani izvori podijeljeni na one bazirane na GaAs i silicijske uređaje, te supravodljive kvantizirane strujne izvore. Nadalje, analiziran je i kvantni strujni etalon temeljen na SET-u, te mjerna nesigurnost izlazne struje. Zadnji dio završnog rada bavi se osnovnom idejom kvantnog mjeriteljskog trokuta, njegovom eksperimentalnom implementacijom i rezultatima.
Abstract (english)
The aim of this undergraduate thesis is to introduce a new definition of the SI unit ampere by fixing the numerical value of the elementary charge e, and to introduce the realization of the unit by single electron tunneling technology – SET. The paper analyzes two basic physical phenomena which are the basis of SET in normal-metal conductors, semiconductors and superconductors: the tunneling of electrons through potential barriers and Coulomb blockade. Then there is an overview of different implementations of clocked single-electron transport. The focus is put on the performance of quantized current sources: metallic single-electron pumps, semiconducting quantized current sources fabricated either from GaAs or \( Si/SiO_2 \) and superconducting quantized current sources. Furthermore, there is an analysis of a quantum standard of current based on SET and the uncertainty of the output current. The last section of this thesis deals with the basic idea of quantum metrology triangle experiment, its experimental implementations and their results.
