This final thesis focuses on the design and implementation of a voltage regulator based on a DC/DC buck converter. The research's objective was to demonstrate the ability to control the speed of an electric motor by varying the supply voltage. It begins by discussing the importance of voltage regulators in electrical engineering and the need for such a control method. The operation principle of the DC/DC buck converter, which plays a pivotal role in the completion of this thesis, is analyzed. Furthermore, all selected components that meet the operational requirements are described, with a particular emphasis on the voltage regulator (Integrated Circuit) and the control circuit's structure.Subsequently, the process of constructing the buck (DC-DC/step-down) converter is presented, along with the execution of tests confirming its functionality. The final results are analyzed, and the success of the voltage regulator in operation is determined. This work contributes to understanding the application of DC/DC converters in the context of motor control and provides a foundation for further research and improvement of this type of system.
