This work is about parental divorce and consequences that divorce leaves on whole family. It is mostly focused on children and their dealing with this stressful situation. Every person is unique so everyone reacts differently. As result of consequences of parental divorce some children form some kind of resist while some children are affected with different difficulties of adjustment which can be manifested as short-term and long-term reactions. After parental divorce both short-term and long-term reactions can appear. Long-term reactions are very meaningful because they change person's way of living even in mature age. Children's adjustment depends a lot about parent's relationship after divorce. If parents after divorce mutualy cooperate and they reduce number of conflicts and arguments that will surely positively affect on children's accepting new situation. The purpose of this work is to expand knowledge about consequences of divorce afecting any family member, especially children and to show organisation of life after that stressful event.
