Abstract
Internet je postao jedno od obilježja suvremenog načina života, sve je dostupniji a broj njegovih korisnika svakodnevno raste. Unatoč brojnim prednostima koje pruža, do izražaja dolaze i negativne strane korištenja internetom. Posljednjih godina pretjerano korištenje interneta postaje sve rašireniji društveni problem, osobito u populaciji adolescenata, no zamijećen je trend porasta i u populaciji odraslih. Svrha ovog rada je pružiti sistematičan pregled literature na temu pretjeranog korištenja internetom. U radu se nakon prikaza osnovnih podataka o korištenju interneta, njegovih prednosti i rizika, kroz pregled definicija i terminologije, preko pojavnosti te obilježja tog fenomena u populaciji djece i mladih a zatim odraslih, dolazi do prikaza mogućnosti intervencija socijalnog rada u vezi s prevencijom, detekcijom i tretmanskim postupcima te naposljetku zaključka. Sistematičnim pregledom literature utvrđen je nedostatak istraživanja ove pojave u Hrvatskoj te se stavlja naglasak na ukazivanje kako postoji potreba za provedbom novih intervencija za različite rizične populacije kao i potreba evaluacije učinkovitosti tih intervencija.
Abstract (english)
The Internet has become one of the features of modern lifestyles, as becoming more accessible the number of its users grows every day. Despite the many benefits it offers, the negative side of the internet usage is coming to the fore. In recent years, excessive use of the Internet has become a widespread social problem, especially in the adolescent population, with trend in growth in the adult population as well. The aim of this paper is to provide a systematic review of literature on excessive internet use. This review begins with presenting the basic data on the use of the Internet, its advantages and risks, then go through an overview of definitions and terminology, the incidence and features of this phenomenon in the population of children and youth then adults and then the paper shows possibilities of interventions of social work practice regarding the prevention, detection, treatment and finally conclusion. The systematic review of the literature shows a lack of research on this phenomenon in Croatia and emphasized the need to implement new interventions for different at-risk populations as well as the need to evaluate the effectiveness of these interventions.
