Abstract
Autizam je biološki razvojni poremećaj mozga. Simptomi autizma najčešće se javljaju u prve tri godine i ostaju prisutni do kraja života. Danas se autistični poremećaji smatraju pervazivnim razvojnim poremećajima, za što je karakteristično oštećenje većeg broja razvojnih područja, primjerice, socijalne interakcije i komunkacije ili javljanje stereotipnih oblika ponašanja, interesa ili aktivnosti. Takav obrazac ponašanja utječe na mogućnost zadovoljenja osnovnih ljudskih potreba, te posljedično i na kvalitetu života. Cilj ovog rada je prikaz autizma kod djece koji kao posebno osjetljiva skupina zahtijevaju specifičan pristup odgoju i obrazovanju. Odgoj i obrazovanje autistične djece mora se temeljiti na individualnom pristupu te integraciji s vršnjacima koji nemaju razvojnih poteškoća kako bi se osnažili socijalni odnosi u dugoročnom smislu te potaknulo međusobno razumijevanje i empatija.
Abstract (english)
Autism is biological disorder of the brain development. Symptoms of autism usually appear in the first three years and remain in place until the end of life. Today, autistic disorders are considered pervasive developmental disorders, for which is characteristic damage to a large number of development areas, such as social interaction and communication and reporting of stereotyped behaviors, interests or activities. Such a pattern of behavior affects the ability to satisfy basic human needs, and consequently, the quality of life. The aim of this papaer is to present children with autism as a particulary vulnerable group requiring a aspecific approach in education. The education of autistic children should be based on individual approach and integration with peers who do not have developmental difficulties and with that strenghtening social relations in the long term and encouraging mutual understanding and empathy
