Abstract
Preduvjet neovisnog življenja osoba s invaliditetom je stvaranje uvjeta koji će im omogućiti ostvarivanje prava na izbor i kvalitetu vlastitog života.Koncept neovisnog življenja je zapravo dio šireg koncepta kvalitete života. On je složeni proces koji čine vrlo bitne komponente kao što su: stupanj samostalnosti, zadovoljstvo životom, prostorna pristupačnost, učestalost obavljanja određenih aktivnosti u kućanstvu i obitelji, samostalno kretanje kao i funkcioniranje te neovisno donošenje odluka. Samostalan život je proces podizanja nivoa svijesti i osposobljavanja. Ovaj proces omogućava osobama sa invaliditetom svih uzrasta i sa svim vrstama invaliditeta da steknu jednake mogućnosti i u potpunosti sudjeluju u svim aspektima društva.
Abstract (english)
The precondition for independent living of people with disabilities is to create conditions that will enable them to exercise the right to choice and quality of their own life. The concept of independent living is actually part of the wider concept of quality of life. It is a complex process that makes very important components such as: degree of autonomy, life satisfaction, spatial accessibility, frequency of performing certain activities in the household and family, self-movement as well as functioning and independent decision-making. Standing life is the process of raising awareness and training. This process enables people with disabilities of all ages and with all kinds of disabilities to acquire equal opportunities and participate fully in all aspects of society.
