This paper deals with attitudes towards persons with disabilities and provides a systematic overview of literature and past researches about persons with disabilities and public reactions to them and features that have contributed to the development of positive or negative attitudes towards individuals with disabilities. Persons with disabilities have been exposed to stigmatization from the earliest times. During history their positiom has improved. Despite this, negative attitudes and prejudices towards persons with disabilities are still present today. Persons with disabilities face difficulties in various areas, including education and employment. They find it difficult to find a job, and employers attitudes are particularly negative for persons with mental illness. Students generally have positive attitudes towards persons with disabilities and this is most of the case with supportive fields students. Social workers also show a smaller amount of prejudice towards persons with disabilities. What can contribute to improving attitudes towards persons with disabilities, and then improving the position of persons with disabilities is to know more informations about disability and direct contact with persons with disabilities
