Abstract (english) Dissolution of marriage or divorce is a stressful experience for the entire family, which points to a large number of children who deserve increased attention from specialists, as well as a large number of parents who are potentially in need of expert support while facing with divrce. Although divorce ends with marriage rather than parenting, many parents neglect their parenting role or do not fit in it as during the marriage, so they need help and support in the further realization of their rights and duties towards children. By coinciding with different circumstances during and after divorce, parental capacity can be greatly weakened. Since divorce greatly affects the day-to-day functioning of parents and is the cause of increased stress associated with parental involvement, parents often find themselves in a situation where they are preoccupied with their thoughts, resulting in a lack of awareness of drastic changes in educational styles, parenting procedures, and childhood change behavior. Parents often think that their children will not understand what divorce is, so they do not even talk to them about it. The paper presents basic scientific findings on divorce and parenting, the results of relevant research, as well as different guidelines for good parenting and quality parental role after divorce, and an overview of several parenting support programs. Likewise, the emphasis is on the need for additional parent education, as well as the activation of different support networks and professionals of different profiles so that parents fully use their internal and external forces for their well-being and the well-being of their children.
