Abstract
Internalizirani problemi među djecom i mladima predstavljaju ozbiljan problem, a posebice kod djece i mladih u javnoj skrbi koji odrastaju pod povećanim razvojnim rizicima. Utvrdilo se kako djeca u dječjim domovima imaju statistički više internaliziranih problema u ponašanju od opće populacije djece. Zbog načina manifestacije veća je vjerojatnost da će ti problemi proći neopaženo te da će zbog toga izostati intervencija i sprječavanje posljedica.U radu su ukratko prikazana dva internalizirana problema: anksioznost i depresivnost jer su oni najzastupljeniji kod djece i mladih i mogu imati dalekosežne posljedice. Prikazani su neki od čimbenika koji mogu dovesti do razvoja tih problema te su navedene neke prednosti, ali i nedostaci institucionalnog smještaja u Hrvatskoj. Cilj ovog rada je pružiti pregled najvažnijih domaćih i inozemnih spoznaja o ovome problemu kako bi se podigla javna svijest o njegovoj ozbiljnosti i dugoročnim posljedicama te o prijekoj potrebi intervencije.
Abstract (english)
Internalized problems among children and youth represent serious problem, especialy for children and young people in public care who are growing up under the higher development risks. Children in public care, statistically, have more internalizing behaviour problems than the general population of children. Due to the manner of manifestations is more likely that these problems will go unnoticed and therefore will be without proper intervention and prevention of far reaching consequences.In this paper are selected only two internalized problems: anxiety and depression because they are most common in children and young people life and can have far reaching consequences. The paper also presents some of the factors that can lead to the development of these problems and some advantages and disadvantages of institutional care for children and young people in Croatia. The main point of this paper is to provide an overview of the most important national and foreign knowledge about this problem in order to raise public awareness of its severity and consequences and the urgent need of intervention.
