Spirituality and religiosity are terms that are often defined as synonyms although they certainly require distinction when studied and researched. In the discipline of social work, the notions of the spiritual dimension and the spiritual needs of man arising from that dimension are increasingly represented, and it is necessary to satisfy them. The spiritual dimension is more pronounced in the stressful and difficult moments a person goes through, and especially in the moments of coping with a disability. People with disabilities face many unmet needs as well as a multitude of unanswered questions that we call spiritual needs. Social workers, in addition to other supportive professions, should be focused on their own education so that they can acquire the necessary skills and knowledge for a quality spiritually sensitive approach that would meet the specific needs of people with disabilities. People who accept their religious affiliation and at the same time practice a pronounced spirituality, have a powerful source of grace expressed in times of crisis and in dealing with various types of stressors because they contribute to a person's well-being and affect the overall quality of life. This type of confrontation through spirituality and religiosity, which has a positive impact on everyday life difficulties, is called religious confrontation, which contributes to a positive impact on a person's physical and mental health, but also on the overall quality of life.
