Abstract
Pravo na obrazovanje jedno je od temeljnih ljudskih prava. Osobe s invaliditetom imaju pravo ostvariti svoje potencijale kroz sustav odgoja i obrazovanja te tako stvoriti uvjete za bolji osobni i društveni razvoj te steći samopouzdanje i samopoštovanje. Cilj ovog rada je prikazati stanje u području obrazovanja učenika s teškoćama u razvoju kroz neke od modela uključivanja, analizu osnovnoškolskog, srednjoškolskog te visokog obrazovanja u Hrvatskoj za učenike s teškoćama. Na kraju rada bitno je istaknuti povezanost obrazovanja i zapošljavanja osoba s invaliditetom budući da se takve osobe teže zapošljavaju, a zasposlenjem im se omogućuje ekonomska samostalnost i neovisnost.
Abstract (english)
The right for education is one of the fundamental human rights. People with disabilities have the right to achieve their potential through the education system and in that way create conditions for better personal and social development and gain self-confidence and self-esteem. The aim of this paper is to present the situation in the field of education for students with disabilities through some of the models of incorporation, analysis of elementary school education, high school education and college education in Croatia for students with disabilities. At the end of the paper it is important to point out the connection between education and employment for persons with disabilities, since such persons are more difficult to employ and employment gives them economic autonomy and independence.
