Abstract
Rad se bavi rodnim razlikama u suočavanju i prilagodbi na prekid partnerske veze pri čemu se dotiče modela razvod-stres-prilagodba, etapa prekida partnerske veze, razloga, statusa inicijatora prekida kao i posljedica i ulaska u novu partnersku vezu. U radu se navode različiti oblici partnerskih veza od kojih su neke definirane zakonima. Model razvod-stres-prilagodba opisuje prekid partnerske veze kao stresan životni događaj na koji se partneri prilagode suočavanjem. Nadalje, u radu se spominju etape kroz koje partneri prolaze prilikom odluke o prekidu partnerske veze te se dotiče razloga za prekid partnerske veze od kojih se često navode nevjera i emocionalno udaljavanje od partnera. Rad se osvrće na status inicijatora prekida partnerske veze u kojem žene prednjače te koji se povezuje s uspješnijom prilagodbom. U radu su prikazane konstruktivne i neuspješne strategije suočavanja gdje žene češće koriste internalizirane strategije, dok se muškarci okreću eksternaliziranim strategijama suočavanja. Rad se dotiče važnosti podrške i unutarnjih čimbenika prilikom prilagodbe te se navode obrasci prilagodbe, te su prikazane rodne razlike po obrascima. Rad se dotiče pozitivnih i negativnih posljedica prekida partnerske veze gdje žene češće doživljavaju negativne posljedice u odnosu na muškarce, te da muškarci češće ulaze u nove partnerske veze u odnosu na žene.
Abstract (english)
This work deals with gender differences in coping and adjustment to the breakup of a relationship, including the divorce-stress-adjustment perspective, the stages of breakup of a relationship, the reasons, the initiator status as well as the consequences and entering a new relationship. The work lists different forms of relationships, some of which are defined by law. The divorce-stress-adjustment perspective describes the breakup of a relationship as a stressful life event to which partners adjust by coping. Furthermore, the work mentions the stages that partners go through when deciding to break up a relationship and touches on the reasons for breaking up relationship, which are often cited as infidelity and emotional distancing from partner. The work looks at the initiator status in which women lead and is associated with a more successful adjustment. The work presents constructive and maladaptive coping strategies where women more often use internalized strategies while men turn to externalized coping strategies. The work touches on the importance of support and internal factors, and lists patterns of adaptation, and shows gender differences by patterns. The work touches on positive and negative consequences where women experience negative consequences more often than men. The work shows that men enter new relationship more often than women.
