Abstract Samoranjavanje postaje sve rašireniji problem među mladim osobama u svijetu. Samoranjavanje uključuje različite oblike ponašanja kojima si osoba nanosi štetu. Istraživanja na ovu temu su mnogobrojna i raznolika. Još uvijek postoje mnoge nesuglasice po pitanju definiranja samog fenomena i definiranja mnogobrojnih oblika i načina samoranjavanja. Ovo istraživanje provedeno je s ciljem konceptualizacije fenomena samoranjavanja i dubljeg razumijevanja samog fenomena iz percepcije stručnjaka koji rade u domovima za odgoj i obrazovanje djece i mladih iz nekoliko gradova. Ukupno je sudjelovalo 12 sudionika, od kojih 2 odgajatelja, tri psihologa, tri socijalne radnice i četiri socijalna pedagoga. Istraživanje je provedeno putem dvije fokusne grupe. Rezultati su pokazali kako stručnjaci iz domova za odgoj i obrazovanje definiraju samoranjavanje kao način izražavanja vlastitih emocija i misli, kao način manipulacije okolinomi kao način suočavanja sa stresom, također smatraju kako i odnosi s društvom mogu biti povod samoranjavanju. Kao glavne rizične čimbenike navodili su loše odnose u obitelji, psihičke bolesti, razne individualne čimbenike rizika,negativno samopoimanje, te loše odnose s vršnjacima. Posljedice koje su definirane odnose se na odbačenost od društva, razne psihičke posljedice, te one pozitivne posljedice poput stvaranja prilike za dobivanje pomoći i iskustva za budućnost. Stručnjaci također diskutiraju o raznim oblicima samoranjavanja, te navode kako velik broj mladih pribjegava i emocionalnom samoranjavanju. Također iskustvo stručnjaka pokazuje kako mladima koji se samoranjavaju pomaže rad sa stručnjacima, te razumijevanje i podrška od strane stručnjaka ali i okoline. Potrebno je senzibilizirati društvo i osigurati da se osobe koje se samoranjavaju ne osuđuje i ne stigmatizira već im se pruži potrebna podrška i pomoć kako bi se uspješnije nosili s vlastitim problemima.
Abstract (english) Self-harm is becoming more widespread among young people in the world. Self-harm includes various forms of behavior where a person does a form of damage to himself. Research on this subject are numerous and varied. There are still many differences in terms of defining the phenomenon and defining the many forms and ways of self-harm.
This research was conducted to try to make a conceptualization of the phenomenon of self-harm and a deeper understanding of the phenomenon from the perception of professionals working in homes for the education of children and young people from several cities. A total of 12 participants, of which two teachers, three psychologists, three social workers and four social pedagogues. The study was conducted by in focus groups. The results showed that experts from homes for Education define self-harm as a way of expressing one's emotions and thoughts, as a way to manipulate the environment, as a way of coping with stress, the results also show that the relations with friends can trigger self-harm. The main risk factors are recognized as family relationships, mental illness, various individual risk factors, negative self-concept, and poor relationships with peers. The consequences of self-harm are defined to be rejection from society, a variety of psychological consequences, and some positive effects, such as creating the opportunity to receive assistance and having important experience for the future. Experts also discussed the various forms of self-injury, and claim that a large number of young people resort to emotional self-harm. Also the experience of experts shows that young people who self-harm benefit from working with experts, and understanding and support from the experts, but also the environment. It is necessary to sensitize the society and to ensure that people who self-harm are not judgd and are not stigmatized. Rather, it is important that the young people are being offered support and assistance in order to effectively deal with their own problems.
