Abstract
Sredstvo ustavne tužbe specifično je sredstvo zaštite ljudskih prava i temeljnih sloboda. Također, ono je jedan od oblika kontrole nad upravom. Temeljna ljudska prava i slobode zajamčene su Ustavom, zakonima i međunarodnim dokumentima. Od međunarodnih dokumenata najznačajnije mjesto pripada Europskoj konvenciji za zaštitu ljudskih prava i temeljnih sloboda koju je Republika Hrvatska ratificirale davne 1997. godine. Konvencijom je osnovan i Europski sud za ljudska prava u Strasbourgu koji ima velik utjecaj na Ustavni sud Republike Hrvatske. Iako Ustavni sud Republike Hrvatske ima široki spektar nadležnosti, kao jedna od najznačajnijih u praksi ističe se odlučivanje povodom ustavnih tužbi.
Abstract (english)
The remedy of constitutional complaint is a specific means of protecting human rights and fundamental freedoms. Also, it is one of the forms of control over the administration. Fundamental human rights and fundamental freedoms are guaranted by the Constitution, laws and international documents. Of the international documents, the most important place belongs to the European Convention for the Protection of Human rights and fundamental freedoms, which was ratified by the Republic of Croatia in 1997. The Convention also established the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg, which has a great influence on the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Croatia. Although, the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Croatia has a wide range of competences, one of the most important in practice is deciding on constitutional complaint.
