Abstract (english) | Technology plays a significant role in how people live and work today. Everyday life is becoming increasingly simplified by new discoveries that accelerate mundane daily activities, such as shopping, waiting in lines, and similar tasks, which take up free time. Tasks that can be accomplished without leaving the comfort of home are maximized because, after all, why waste energy and time if there is another, faster, and simpler solution? The same applies not only in private life but also in professional life. In extraordinary situations, it was necessary to maintain the regular flow of business operations while also protecting workers. Technological solutions enabled workers to achieve both, allowing their employees to work remotely. The most significant shift in the business world occurred during the COVID-19 pandemic, which began at the end of 2019. EUROFOUND conducted a study showing that in that year, 14% of workers worked remotely at least some of the time, while in 2021, this percentage increased to 24.2% The advantages and disadvantages of working outside the employer's premises will be presented in this paper through an analysis of regulations governing this area at the national, regional, and international levels. |
