Abstract
U radu će na početku biti razrađen tijek razvoja ravnopravnosti spolova kroz povijest. Pojavom inicijative za ravnopravnost spolova, nameće se pitanje što taj pojam označava, a kroz ovaj rad nastojat ću ga na što jednostavniji način i prikazati. Nakon povijesti i definiranja pojmova ključnih za rad, obradit će se pravni i institucionalni okvir. U pravnom okviru bit će riječ kako o nacionalnom tako i o međunarodnom pravnom okviru, gdje će se obraditi neki od najvažnijih dokumenata ključnih za ravnopravnost spolova. U institucionalnom okviru proći će se kroz neke od važnih i značajnih institucija za ravnopravnost spolova s naglaskom na Pravobraniteljicu za ravnopravnost spolova. Na kraju rada proći će se kroz stanje u praksi s naglaskom na Izvješće Pravobraniteljice za ravnopravnost spolova.
Abstract (english)
This paper will initially elaborate the course of development of gender equality through history. With the emergence of the initiative for gender equality, the question arises as to what this term means, and this paper will try to present it in a simple manner. After historical facts and definitions of key terms, the paper will discuss the legal and institutional framework. The legal framework will be about both national and international legal frameworks, where some of crucial documents for gender equality will be discussed. Within the institutional framework, the paper will introduce some of the most important and significant institutions for gender equality with the emphasis on the Ombudsperson for Gender Equality of the Republic of Croatia. In the conclusion, the paper will summarize the situation in real world with an emphasis on the Annual Report of Ombudsperson for Gender Equality.
