Abstract
Mnoge djevojke suočene su s velikim pritiskom da se rano udaju i postanu majke dok su i same djeca. Maloljetnička trudnoća se povećava kada se djevojkama uskraćuje pravo da donose odluke o svom seksualnom i reproduktivnom zdravlju i dobrobiti. Djevojčice moraju biti u mogućnosti donositi vlastite odluke o svom tijelu i budućnosti te imati pristup odgovarajućim zdravstvenim uslugama i sveobuhvatnom seksualnom obrazovanju. Uzroke maloljetničke trudnoće treba tražiti u brojnim rizičnim razlozima kao što su nedostatak informacija o seksualnom i reproduktivnom zdravlju i pravima, neadekvatan pristup uslugama po mjeri mladih, pritisak obitelji, zajednice i društva za sklapanje braka, seksualno nasilje kod djece, rani i prisilni brak, koji može biti i uzrok i posljedica te nedostatak obrazovanja ili napuštanje škole. U svrhu prevencije malojetničkih trudnoća potrebno je razvijati strateške programe edukacije mladih o seksualno odgovornom ponašanju, korištenju kontracepcije prilikom spolnih odnosa te pružanje podrške obitelji, partnera i zajednice maloljetnoj trudnici ukoliko dođe do trudnoće. Redukcija stigmatizacije i negativnih kritika u kontekstu pojave maloljetničkih trudnoća ključne su u očuvanju mentalnog zdravlja takvih maloljetnica.
Abstract (english)
Many girls face great pressure to marry early and become mothers while still children. Underage pregnancy increases when girls are denied the right to make decisions about their sexual and reproductive health and well-being. Girls must be able to make their own decisions about their bodies and their futures and have access to appropriate health services and comprehensive sexuality education. The causes of underage pregnancy should be sought in a number of risky reasons such as lack of information about sexual and reproductive health and rights, inadequate access to services tailored to young people, pressure from family, community and society to get married, sexual violence with children, early and forced marriage, which it can be both cause and effect and lack of education or dropping out of school. In order to prevent minor pregnancies, it is necessary to develop strategic programs to educate young people about sexually responsible behavior, the use of contraception during sexual intercourse, and the provision of family, partner and community support to a pregnant minor if she becomes pregnant. Reduction of stigmatization and negative criticism in the context of the occurrence of underage pregnancies is crucial in preserving the mental health of such underage women.
