Abstract U želji za boljom povezanošću dolazi do razvoja brojnih grana prometa.
Abstract (english) In the desire for better connectivity, numerous branches of traffic are developing. Air traffic develops in stages and it was immediately noticeable that it is leading the way in terms of speed and connecting people. Its use leads to faster transportation of goods, but in addition to the numerous benefits it brought with itself, it also had a great impact on the environment. There are constant efforts to speed up the air traffic, to reduce fuel consumption, and at the same time to increase the number of kilometers an aircraft can fly in one flight. All this had results, but also great damage to the environment, because at the very beginning of the development of air transport and during the legal regulation of this form of transport, people did not think about the environment or to what extent it would adversely affect humans, health, plant and animal life. More precisely, when we talk about the environment as part of air traffic, the problems we encounter are the noise it produces, the construction of airports in a certain area which changes the structure of the soil, affects the flora and fauna, and water pollution that occurs in their vicinity, and one of the big and significant global problems in air traffic are the emissions produced by airplane engines. As a consequence, organizations having among their goals those related to environmental protection are founded. Their goal is to force airlines to try to reduce pollution. Each of the existing organizations encouraged the adoption of certain laws, resolutions and other regulations, all with the aim of regulating air traffic and the environment. Above mentioned facts are the cause of environmental pollution and the consequence is visible in the phenomenon of global warming of the atmosphere, the so-called greenhouse effect, by which the ozone layer is destroyed and which causes an increase in UV radiation and numerous other harmful effects on the environment. As a member state of the European Union, the Republic of Croatia accepts all regulations regarding the environment in air traffic, but it has also passed a certain number of laws within its legislative framework in order to influence these problems and try to reduce them.
