The family, as the foundation of every community and society, has its own values that it preserves and nurtures. Sometimes these values are violated and have a negative impact on the healthy development of the family. It often happens that families seek help in order to continue functioning, and one of the significant influences and comfort they find in spirituality. Spirituality can be an important and powerful element of empowerment, because it has an impact on the individual, the family and the community as a whole. It is most often of a religious nature, develops through a person's identity and becomes a part of him. In social work, the concept of spirituality is associated with empowerment and has recently become an important part of assessing what a family needs in order to be empowered and to realize its potential. The aim of this paper is to show through the prism of spirituality how the family can be strengthened despite all the risk factors, and what and what benefits spirituality has for its transformation by achieving faith and hope for a better and more meaningful life. What role and contribution can social workers make through their profession in the integration and awareness of families about the application of spirituality that can contribute to the relationship in work with beneficiaries and the relationship within the family.
