Abstract
Ovaj rad bavi se temom rodnih uloga. Rodne uloge su očekivanja koja se vežu za svaki spol, te je problematika ovih očekivanja to što su uvelike temeljene na stereotipima. U radu su prikazana brojna istraživanja koja objašnjavaju proces socijalizacije kroz koji djeca usvajaju ove uloge, kao i povijesni kontekst koji opisuje kako je došlo do takvih shvaćanja muško ženskih uloga. Prikazana je i rodna segregacija na tržištu rada koja utječe na izbor zanimanja muškaraca i žena što još više pridonosi rodnim stereotipima. Glavna ideja ovog rada je istaknuti kako su ova stereotipna shvaćanja rodnih uloga i dalje prisutna, kako pridonose rodnoj neravnopravnosti te imaju velike negativne posljedice na obitelji, djecu, ali i samo društvo. Na kraju rada predloženo je nekoliko smjernica za smanjenje rodnih stereotipa i povećanje pravednosti u obiteljima i društvu.
Abstract (english)
This paper addresses the topic of gender roles. Gender roles are the expectations tied to each sex, and the issue with these expectations is that they are largely based on stereotypes. The paper presents numerous studies explaining the socialization process through which children adopt these roles, as well as the historical context that describes how such understandings of male and female roles have developed. Gender segregation in the labor market is also discussed, affecting the career choices of men and women and further contributing to gender stereotypes. The main idea of this paper is to highlight how these stereotypical understandings of gender roles are still present, how they contribute to gender inequality, and have significant negative consequences on families, children, and society as a whole. The paper concludes with several guidelines for reducing gender stereotypes and increasing fairness in families and society.
