The first part of this work is devoted to the explanation of the very concept of control of the administration, as well as to the historical development and the emergence of judicial control of the administration. This gives an overall insight into the establishment of this institute. It also gives an overview of the development of judicial control of the administration in the Republic of Croatia since its inception as an independent state to this day. The central part of the work is related to the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Croatia, its composition, competences, bodies, its public activity, and legal acts on the basis of which it makes its decisions. The Court of Justice of the European Union, which carries out the duties of the body responsible for ensuring respect for European Union law, its uniform application and interpretation, is also described. It plays a significant role in shaping the legal order of the European Union. In the last part of the paper, we talk about constitutional adjudication of the administration, the evaluation of constitutionality and legality, the procedure before the Constitutional Court, and concrete examples of some of the decisions of the Constitutional Court. Administration control has a dual role. The first is to check whether the administration operates in accordance with the political, technical or legal criteria set for its operation. The second relates to the fact that the holders of supervisory powers can have a decisive influence on the administration and direct it towards the effective achievement of the goals. Many citizens consider the administration to be too autonomous and arbitrary, because there is almost no institute of control over it. This work seeks to prove the opposite.
