Abstract
Ovaj završni rad detaljno obrađuje temu razvoja i funkcioniranja grada, te se daje poseban osvrt na Grad Slatinu. Grad kao jedinica lokalne samouprave u svom samoupravnom djelovanju obavlja poslove kojim se ostvaruju potrebe građana kao što su: uređenje naselja i stanovanja, prostorno i urbanističko planiranje, komunalno gospodarstvo, socijalna skrb, odgoj i obrazovanje, zdravstvena zaštita, kultura, zaštitu i unaprjeđenje okoliša, upravljanje prometom i drugo. Grad Slatina smješten je u istočnom dijelu Virovitičko-podravske županije. Područje je prirodno omeđeno na sjeveru rijekom Dravom, a na jugu grebenima planina Papuka i Krndije. Po mnogim osobinama Slatina ima ulogu središnjeg naselja u regiji. Područje Slatine svojim prometno-zemljopisnim položajem predstavlja sastavni dio spoja istočnog i zapadnog dijela Hrvatske. U široj zoni gradskog centra nalazi se autobusni kolodvor i željeznički kolodvor. U gradu Slatini razvijena je infrastruktura vodovoda, kanalizacija, komunikacije, i elektroopskrbe.
Abstract (english)
This final paper deals with the topic regarding development and functioning of the city of Slatina in detail, and it gives a special review of the city. As a local self-government unit, the city carries out tasks that meet the needs of citizens such as housing, spatial and urban planning, communal economy, social welfare, education, health care, culture, protection and improvement of the enviornment, traffic management and other. The city of Slatina is located in the eastern part of Virovitica-Podravina County. The area is naturally bordered by the Drava river on the north and by the reefs of Papuk and Krndija on the south. According to many features, Slatina has the role of a central settlement in the region. The area of Slatina, with its geographical position, is a component of the juncture that connects the eastern and western part of Croatia. In the wider area of the city there is a bus station and a train station. Water supply,sewerage, communications, and electricity supply infrastructure have been developed in Slatina.
