Abstract
1. prosinca 2009. godine stupanjem na snagu Ugovora iz Lisabona EU je dobila pravnu osobnost i preuzela nadležnosti koje su bile dodjeljene Europskoj zajednici. Pravo Zajednice je postalo pravo Unije. Pored EU i dalje postoji Europska zajednica za atomsku energiju. Nadležnosti Suda u odnosu na Euratom ( Europska zajednica za atomsku energiju) iste su kao i one u okviru EU. Sud se sastoji od 28 sudaca i 11 nezavisnih odvjetnika. Sud može zasjedati u punom sastavu, u velikom vijeću (15 sudaca) te u sudskim vijećima (5 ili 3 suca). Sud Europske unije sudska je institucija Unije i Europske zajednice za atomsku energiju (EZAE). Čine ga dva suda: Sudi Opći sud. Glavna mu je zadaća preispitivanje zakonitosti akata Unije i osiguravanje jedinstvenog tumačenja i primjene prava Unije.
Abstract (english)
On 1 December 2009, upon entry into force of the Treaty of Lisbon, the European Union gained legal personality and assumed the competencies that were assigned to the European Community. Community law has become the right of the Union. In addition to the European Union, there is still the European Atomic Energy Community. The competencies of the Court in relation to Euratom (European Atomic Energy Community) are the same as those within the EU. The Court consists of 28 judges and 11 independent lawyers.The Court may sit in full composition, in the Grand Chamber (15 judges) and in the Judicial Councils (5 or 3 judges). The Court of the European Union is the judicial institution of the Union and the European Atomic Energy Community (EZAE). It is made by two courts: the Court and the General Court. Its main task is to review the legality of Union acts and to ensure a uniform interpretation and application of Union law.
