Abstract
Hamurabijev zakonik najpotpunija je i najmodernija zbirka babilonskih zakona, iz vremena vladavine kralja Hamurabija. Hamurabi je bio kralj Prve babilonske dinastije, a njegova je vladavina trajala otprilike od 1792. do 1750. godine prije Krista. Hamurabijev zakonik sastoji se od njegovih pravila, odnosno zakona koji su sakupljene pred kraj njegove vladavine i uklesane na steli postavljenoj u babilonskom hramu. Tih 282 članaka uključuju ekonomske odredbe, obiteljsko pravo (brak i razvod), kao i kazneno pravo (napad, krađa), obvezno te statusno i stvarno pravo. Kazne su se razlikovale ovisno o statusu počinitelja i okolnostima kaznenih djela. Ovaj rad iznosi sve bitne činjenice Hamurabijevog zakonika u vidu raznih područja prava.
Abstract (english)
Hammurabi Code of Law is one of the most complete i most modern collections of Babylon laws, dated in the reign of King Hammurabi. Hammurabi was the king of the First Babylonian dynasty, and his reign is dated 1792–1750 BCE. Hammurabi Code of Law consists of Hammurabi's rules, that is laws which were collected by the end of his reign and were inscripted on a stela and put in a temple, in Babylon. 282 articles of Hammurabi Code of Law include economic set of rules, family law (marriage and divorce), criminal law (assault, theft), obligatory, statutory and real law. Sentences stated were different, all depending on the status of the offender and the circumstances of the crime. This paper entails all the important facts of Hammurabi Code of Law in terms of different areas of law covered.
