Abstract
Alternativno rješavanje potrošačkih sporova doprinosi jačanju zaštite potrošača kako na nacionalnoj, tako i na međunarodnoj razini kroz svoje mehanizme koji su usmjereni na brz, jeftin, fleksibilan i jednostavan način rješavanja sporova. Cilj ovog rada je prikazati razvoj i mehanizme zaštite potrošača u Republici Hrvatskoj na koji je značajan utjecaj imalo Vijeće Europe i Europska Unija. Tijekom postupka pristupanja Republike Hrvatske Europskoj Uniji kroz postupno usklađivanje nacionalnog zakonodavstva s pravnom stečevinom Europske Unije, Republika Hrvatska usvojila je brojne pravne akte. Na području alternativnog rješavanja potrošačkih sporova proces usklađivanja rezultirao je donošenjem Zakona o alternativnom rješavanju potrošačkih sporova 2016. godine kao i mogućnošću online rješavanja potrošačkih sporova kojima se doprinosi višoj razini zaštite potrošačkih prava.
Abstract (english)
Alternative consumer dispute resolution contributes to strengthening consumer protection, both nationally and internationally, through it`s mechanisms that focus on a fast, inexpensive, flexible and easy way to resolve disputes. The aim of this paper is to outline the development and mechanisms of consumer protection in the Republic of Croatia, which have been significantly influenced by the Council of Europe and the European Union. During the process of accession of the Republic od Croatia to the European Union through the gradual harmonization of national legislation with the acquis communautaire, the Republic of Croatia adopted a number of legal acts. In the field of alternative consumer dispute resolution the harmonization resulted in the adoption of the Consumer Dispute Resolution Act 2016. as well as introduction of the possibility of online consumer dispute resolution, which contribute to a higher level of protection of consumer rights.
