Under the influence of various migration factors are an everyday occurrence. However, when it comes to historical migrations, it is important to point out that they occurred due to war events or other reasons that adversely affected the majority of the population of certain countries. Accelerated migration has led to the establishment of new political regimes that have advocated for the recognition of the right to asylum for migrants from third countries. Asylum throughout the history of Greek and Roman law has been a refuge, while today asylum is a form of international protection for residents of third countries affected by war, poverty and other hardships. In order to be granted the right to asylum, third-country nationals must meet certain conditions. Today, the territory of the European Union has a high migration rate, some of them an illegal attempt to cross the border of the European Union, while other migrations are related to the needs of training, education and reunification with a family residing in the European Union. A number of legal regulations have been adopted for this type of migration in order to speed up the process of obtaining a work permit or residence permit. Regarding the illegal crossing into the territory of the European Union, a number of regulations have also been adopted to prevent trafficking in human beings and forgery of documents by which migrants wish to enter the territory of the European Union.
