Abstract
Europska komisija politički je neovisno izvršno tijelo Europske unije. Isključivo je odgovorna za izradu novih prijedloga europskog zakonodavstva i provedbu odluka Europskog parlamenta i Vijeća Europske unije. Odgovorna je za promicanje općih interesa Europske unije, predlaganje zakona, provedbu odluka Europskog parlamenta i Europskog vijeća, poštivanje ugovora Europske unije i provedbu proračuna Europske unije. Komisija može imati ovlasti donijeti propise za izvršavanje zakonodavstva koje zahtijeva jedinstvenu provedbu unutar Europske unije Ovlaštena je donositi provedbene i delegirane akte.
Abstract (english)
The European Commission is a politically independent executive body of the European Union. It is exclusively responsible for drafting new proposals for European legislation and implementing the decisions of the European Parliament and the Council of the European Union. It is responsible for promoting the general interests of the European Union, proposing legislation, implementing the decisions of the European Parliament and the European Council, respecting the treaties of the European Union and implementing the budget of the European Union. The Commission may have the power to lay down rules for the enforcement of legislation requiring uniform implementation within the European Union. It is empowered to adopt implementing and delegated acts.
