The aim of this work is to analyize concession law institute and concession regime in general. A concession is a licence to perform a certain activity subject to a special approval. It arises on the basis of bilateral obligation, so it cannot arise, so neither it can survive without two parties in a relationship, ie. without the grantor of the concession and the recipient who uses the concession. As a legal institute, it belongs to the field of administrative law and has a significant role in the legal system of the Republic of Croatia. This thesis analyzes the provisions of the current Concessions Act and explains the concept of concession, its historical development, basic features and preparatory activities without which it is impossible to begin the process of granting a concession. Then, the decision on the concession and the concession contract which starts the concession relationship between the grantor and the concessionaire are analyzed. Last but not the least, the reasons and possibilities for early termination or revocation, and termination of the concession are presented in detail.
