Abstract
Osiguranje od prekida poslovanja je vrsta osiguranja koja pokriva gubitak prihoda trgovačkog društvo kada pretrpi događaj katastrofalnih razmjera poput prirodnih nepogoda, velikih požara ili značajnog kvara strojeva. Zatvaranje poslovnog pogona zbog ponovne izgradnje, što se u smislu osiguranja tipično smatra samo materijalnom štetom, zapravo ima puno veći učinak na svako poduzeće kao cjelinu. Veliki broj vlasnika, menadžera i ključnih izvršnih direktora promatraju osiguranje od prekida poslovanja pretežito kao trošak, no globalni tržišni trendovi zahtijevaju implementaciju takvih polica kao osnovu modernog upravljanja rizikom. Na domaćem tržištu osiguranja još se razvijaju police osiguranja od prekida poslovanja kao specifičan proizvod, dok se na europskom tržištu osiguranja smatraju uobičajenom poslovnom praksom. Ovaj rad sadrži pregled ključnih pravnih i ekonomskih faktora koji određuju osiguranje od prekida poslovanja u Hrvatskoj.
Abstract (english)
Business interruption insurance is a type of insurance that covers the loss of income when a company suffers a catastrophic event such as natural disaster, massive fire damage or a huge machinery failure. Closing of the business facility due to the rebuilding process, which is typically considered only property damage in insurance terms, actually has far greater impact on any company as a whole. Many owners, managers and chief executive officers view business interruption insurance predominantly as expense, but global market trends require such policies to be implemented as key basis for modern risk management. For local insurance market business interruption policies are still developing as a tailor-made insurance product, while in European insurance market they are considered common business practice. This work is an overview of essential legal and economic factors which determine business interruption insurance in Croatia.
