This work is focused on the importance of flood insurance, it explains the difficulties that people face due to increasing damage from natural disasters caused by climate change, which is also a big problem today. It also touches in detail on concluding o property insurance contract, its definition, the obligations of the insured and insurer, the importance of insurance companies and their participation in the development of the most detailed system of property insurance against natural disasters, as an example of such a company the Conditions of property insurance against natural disasters from Euroherc insurance. The thesis also compares the development of property insurance in Croatia, the most developed EU countries, and the USA. As a conclusion of the work itself, statistical data are given, which refer to the insurance property against natural disasters in the past decade, whereby the conclusion is presented about the oscillations of property insurance against natural disasters throughout the decade.
