In this thesis, we will present the protection of persons with disabilities in air transport according to international law, European law, and our national law. We will explain the categories of persons with disabilities and the rights they have when boarding and disembarking in air transport, the equipment that should be available at the airport for easier movement of persons with disabilities and the protection of their rights. According to international law, the protection of the rights of passengers with disabilities in air traffic is based on the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, which provides the basic principles of the protection of their rights, and in the USA, Regulation Code of Federal Regulations, better known as 14 CFR Part 382. In European law, the basis for the protection of the rights of passengers with disabilities is Regulation (EC) no.1107/2006 on the rights of persons with disabilities and persons with reduced mobility in air traffic. Regulation (EC) 1107/2006 will explain who is entitled to assistance at airports, who is responsible for assistance at airports, training airport staff for the needs of disabled people, compensation for lost or damaged equipment they use.persons with disabilities and the right to complain. According to our national law, the provisions relating to the rights of persons with disabilities were deleted by the Act on Amendments to the Act on Obligatory and Real Legal Relations in Air Traffic, but in the Republic of Croatia by direct application of Regulation (EC) no. Finally, in the thesis we will conclude how satisfied people with disabilities are with the opportunities offered to them in air traffic in the Republic of Croatia.
