Abstract (english)
The amendments to the company act, which were passed by the Croatian Parliament in 2012, just before theaccession to the European Union, theCroatian legal systemwas enriched with a new form of company- a simple limited liability company.It is a verison of a private limited liability company andstarting a simple limited company goes through a simplified procedure and a very low amount of initial capital is required for its establishment. The introduction of this new type of company to the Croatian legal system should serve as a transitional solution which enablesfree action of companies established in the Member States of the European Union on the territory of the Republic of Croatia, but also vice versa.
