In this section I briefly describe everything that is stated and processed in this final article, beginning with the sole term of local government/administration and its inner arrangement in Croatia. On the example of the City of Makarska, we will visualize how a specific local government functions and what problems it faces. Firstly, I will summarize the term of local government alone and its beginning in the Republic of Croatia, continuing with its officials and employees. Furthermore, we are getting known with the City of Makarska as a city and as a unit of a local government. That entails a short geografical description, the city's boroughs and local government branches. From the city's statute we find out about the work, authorities, obligations and the scope of business in the city's branches. Moreover, I will compendiuosly describe local administrative boroughs, city's assets and finances, individual city companies and their roles and duties. In final, I will talk about certain issues the local administration has faced in the last decade.
