Abstract
Dio fizikalne kemije je elektrokemija. Elektroliza predstavlja elektrokemijsku reakciju razlaganja elektrolita djelovanjem električne struje. Pri uranjanju elektroda u otopinu elektrolita, ioni nastali elektrolitskom disocijacijom privučeni su elektrodom suprotna naboja. Zbog prolaska struje kroz elektrolit, anioni otopine, kreću se prema anodi, a kationi prema katodi. Odnosno katione privlači katoda, a anione anoda. Primjena elektrolize i Faradayevih zakona je ne samo u industriji nego i u svakodnevnom životu. Stoga, zadatak ovog završnog rada je bio definirati i opisati pojmove elektroliza i elektrolitski članak te opisati Faradayeve zakone i navesti primjenu elektrolize u industriji.
Abstract (english)
Part of physical chemistry is electrochemistry. Electrolysis is an electrochemical reaction of the decomposition of an electrolyte by the action of an electric current. When the electrodes are immersed in the electrolyte solution, the ions formed by the electrolytic dissociation are attracted to the electrode by the opposite charge. Due to the passage of current through the electrolyte, the anions of the solution move toward the anode and the cations to the cathode. The cations, respectively, are attracted by the cathode and the anions by the anodes. The application of electrolysis and Faraday's laws is not only in the industry but also in everyday life. Therefore, the task of this work was to define and describe the terms electrolysis and electrolytic cell, and to describe Faraday's laws and to state the application of electrolysis in industry.
