Abstract
Problem otpada javlja se kao posljedica industrijalizacije. Čovjek svojim djelovanjem, svakodnevno, proizvodi sve veće količine otpada koji negativno utječe na prirodu oko nas. Posebno je negativno to što zbog ljudskog neznanja velika većina otpada završava kao smeće. Smeće je produkt neodgovornog ljudskog postupanja s otpadom. Uspostava sustava cjelovitog gospodarenja otpadom jedno je od glavnih rješenja problema otpada. Sustav cjelovitog gospodarenja otpadom omogućuje, prvenstveno, smanjenje količine otpada. Najvažniji čimbenik u postupku recikliranja i gospodarenja otpadom je njegovo pravilno odvajanje na čemu je potrebno sustavno raditi kako bi se postigao zadovoljavajući nivo oporabe. Reciklirani materijali pomažu u zaštiti okoliša jer zamjenjuju proizvode iste vrste i kvalitete.
Abstract (english)
The problem of waste arises as a consequence of industrialization. Through their actions, people, every day, produces increasing amounts of waste that negatively affects the nature. Especially negative is that the most of the waste ends up as garbage as a result to the human ignorance. Garbage is a product of irresponsible waste management. Establishing an integrated waste management system is one of the main solutions to the waste problem. An integrated waste management system enables, primarily, a waste reduction. The most important factor in the process of recycling and waste management is its proper separation, which needs to be worked on systematically in order to achieve a satisfactory level of reuse. Recycled materials help protect the environment because they replace products of the same type and quality.
