Abstract
Za vrijeme mlađe krede u Vanjskim Dinaridima te cijelom prostoru Jadranske karbonatne platforme dolazi do izrazite tektonske kompresije, boranja i rasjedanja i njezinog izdizanja djelovanjem Alpske orogeneze, a što u kombinaciji s globalnim sniženjem morske razine rezultira emerzijom na većini prostora. Na području istraživanja i okolnom prostoru, laramijski pokreti izazvali su boranje i izdizanje gornjokrednih vapnenaca, koji su u kopnenoj fazi do donjeg eocena pretrpjeli intenzivno okršavanje. U udubljenjima se nakupljao boksitični materijal. Ova je emerzija rezultirala diskordantnim odnosom gornjokrednih i paleogenskih naslaga. Gornjokredne sedimentne stijene zahvatila je transgresija u eocenu, a posljedica je nastanak foraminiferskih vapnenaca.
Abstract (english)
Abstract: During the Late Cretaceous the External Dinarides and the entire area of the Adriatic carbonate platform experienced a strong compression, folding, faulting and its uplifting as a consequence of the Alpine orogeny, which combined with the global sea level fallcaused emersion of its broad area. In the study and the surrounding area, Laramian movements generated folding and uplift of the Upper Cretaceous limestones, which during the terrestrial phase experienced intense karstification till the Early Eocene. In formed depressions bauxite material was deposited. The emersion resulted in unconformity between the Upper Cretaceous and Paleogene deposits. The area was affected by a transgression in the Eocene that produced foraminifera limestones which overlie the Upper Cretaceous sedimentary rocks.
