Abstract
Nakon razornih potresa u prosincu 2020. godine erozija tla postaje ozbiljan problem pogođenog područja Banovine, regije u središnjoj Hrvatskoj. Budući da se erozija tla smatra drugim najznačajnijim ekološkim problemom s kojim se svijet suočava, odmah nakon rasta populacije, mnogim zemljama u svijetu postalo je neophodno točno procijeniti gubitak tla erozijom ili bar rizik od gubitka, uključujući Hrvatsku. U ovom radu prikazana je upotreba RUSLE metode u GIS-u, koja je najčešće korišteni model erozije tla na svijetu. Metoda kombinira pet faktora: R, K, LS, C i P faktor kako bi omogućila procjenu gubitka tla u tonama po hektaru godišnje što je vrlo korisno za planiranje i primjenu mjera zaštite tla te održivo upravljanje poljoprivrednim i drugim vrstama zemljišta. Osnovna zamisao ovog rada bila je dobiti intenzitet erozije tla na istraživanom području, a krajnji rezultat pokazao je kako je stopa erozije tla, za područje Banovine, visoka te zahtjeva kontrolne mjere, odnosno primjenu održivih poljoprivrednih i upravljačkih praksi.
Abstract (english)
After the devastating earthquake in December 2020, soil erosion has become a serious problem in the affected area of Banovina, a region in central Croatia. As soil erosion is considered the second most significant environmental issue faced by the world, right after population growth, many countries worldwide have recognized the need to accurately assess soil loss by erosion or at least the risk of loss, including Croatia. This study presents the use of the RUSLE method in GIS, which is the most commonly used soil erosion model worldwide. The method combines five factors: R, K, LS, C, and P factors to enable the estimation of soil loss in tons per hectare per year, which is highly useful for planning and implementing soil conservation measures and sustainable management of agricultural and other land types. The main objective of this study was to determine the intensity of soil erosion in the research area, and the final result indicated that the soil erosion rate in the Banovina region is high, requiring control measures and the implementation of sustainable agricultural and management practices.
