Abstract (english) In the exploitation of the dimension stone techno-economic factors (natural, technological, economic and ecological) have dominant influence on the optimal exploitation contour and the optimum way of dimension stone deposit exploitation depends on influence of techno-economic factors on the position of mining works. Optimal exploitation contour is defining the spatial limitation of the part of the deposit that will be exploited by surface, underground or with combination of the mining methods while respecting defined boundary conditions so it is representing boundary contour, the final shape of mining works, whether it is surface or underground or boundary between the surface and underground exploitation contour. Therefore, the aim or the necessity is to determine the optimal way of exploiting the dimension stone deposit in relation to the location of mining works i.e. to determine the optimal contour of the transition from surface to underground dimension stone exploitation depending on the quantitative share of the influence of individual factors. By valorising techno-economic factors it is possible to determine spatial position of optimal dimension stone exploitation contour with regard that the influence of the techno-economic factors on the position of optimal exploitation contour is variable in time and space.
Determination of the optimum exploitation contour was done on the three-dimensional model of the research area located at Crvene stijene in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Three-dimensional models of deposit and terrain ware created using available data from exploration drilling, data of geological characteristics of the deposit and geodetic terrain data. Part of the deposit was determined for underground and surface exploitation whereby the same is divided into 12 blocks of exploitation optimization so on the same part of the deposit i.e. block both methods of exploitation will be applied. Analysis of the final exploitation contour was made on 24 three-dimensional surface and underground exploitation models – final mine contours. Every final surface and underground mine contour was analysed by placing cross-sections and calculating the cross-section areas and volumes of dimension stone and waste rock. Costs ware determined for each exploitation method and divided into four groups so that the first group combines dimension stone exploitation costs, second group combines the costs of removing the waste rock, the third group combines the cost of mechanization, equipment and maintenance, and the last group unites all other costs. The costs of surface exploitation exponentially increase and are higher than the costs of underground exploitation that have linear growth. The difference in the cost of surface and underground exploitation from block 1 to 12 has been increased by more than 38 times. The underground exploitation revenue
increases linearly with a smaller inclination in relation to the surface exploitation revenue that are increasing for the initial optimisation blocks but signs of stagnation and decrease are noticeable in the last blocks of exploitation optimization. Revenue difference increased by approximately 9 times from block 1 to 12. The unit dimension stone blocks exploitation price grows from block 1 to 12 but for the underground exploitation is growing slower than surface exploitation. Unit dimension stone blocks exploitation price for surface exploitation increased 3,5 times, and for underground exploitation 1,9 times from block 1 to 12.
The profit of underground exploitation from block 1 to 12 is growing with a slower growth in profit in the last exploitation optimization blocks and the period of stagnation is noticed. The profit of surface exploitation after initial growth stagnates and moves to negative trend and finally ends as a loss. The point in which surface and underground exploitation profit curves crosses represents the position of optimal exploitation contour – the position of transition from surface to underground exploitation.
