Abstract
Tema ovog završnog rada jest prirodni plin kao brodsko gorivo. U uvodnom dijelu opisane su osnovne karakteristike prirodnog plina, od kemijskog sastava do njegovog nalazišta i korištenja. Zatim su detaljno opisani načini skladištenja i manipulacija teretom. Detaljno se mogu vidjeti svi tipovi spremnika LNG tankera. Dalje je opisana sva važnija brodska oprema za rukovanje prirodnim plinom kao teretom. Navedene su vrste pogona LNG tankera, a detaljnije je objašnjen princip rada, te prednosti i nedostaci dvogorivnog motora.
Abstract (english)
The topic of this undergraduate thesis is natural gas as marine fuel. The introduction part describes the basic characteristics of natural gas, chemical composition and resources. Furthermore, the storage and manipulation ways are described in detail. All types of LNG tanks are shown in detail. Further on, all important marine equipment for natural gas handling is described and also, many types of propulsion of LNG tankers and their work principles are shown. The advantages and disadvantages of dual fuel engines are explained in more detail.
