Abstract
U ovom radu analizira se energija oceana i morskih valova koja se koristi kao obnovljivi izvor energije. Obnovljivi izvori energije u današnje se vrijeme sve više koriste i teži se globalnom cilju smanjenja korištenja neobnovljivih izvora energije zbog mnogobrojnih štetnih posljedica na biljni i životinjski svijet. Opisane su razne tehnologije korištenja energije mora, koje se usavršavaju velikom brzinom. Takva energija ima ogroman potencijal i velika su očekivanja i mogućnosti njenog iskorištavanja. Energija valova dostupna je u svakom trenutku, a ono što se mijenja jest njezin intenzitet. Valovi su predvidljiva prirodna pojava i njihova se snaga i kretanje najčešće mogu predvidjeti nekoliko dana unaprijed. Isplativiji oblik iskorištavanja energije valova bio bi u blizini obale zbog lakšeg i jeftinijeg dovođenja energije potrošačima, ali glavni problem je različita mogućnost korištenja energije na razini cijelog svijeta. Kako bi pretvorba takve energije bila isplativa, amplituda valova treba biti veoma velika, zbog čega je energija valova na pučini znatno veća, ali njeno iskorištavanje skuplje. Također je dan osvrt na eventualnu mogućnost korištenja takvog oblika pretvorbe energije u gradu Umagu pri kraju rada.
Abstract (english)
This graduate thesis analyzes ocean and sea wave energy used as a renewable energy source. Renewable energies are nowadays increasingly used and are striving for the global goal of reducing the use of non-renewable energy sources due to the many adverse effects on earth. Various marine energy technologies have been described, which are being refined at high speed. Such energy has enormous potential and there are great expectations and opportunities to harness it. Wave energy is available at all times, and what is changing is its intensity. Waves are a predictable natural occurrence, and their strength and movement can usually be predicted several days in advance. A more cost-effective form of harnessing wave energy would be near the coast for easier and less expensive energy delivery to consumers, but the main problem is the differing use of energy worldwide. In order for conversion of such energy to be costeffective, the amplitude of the waves should be very large, which makes the wave energy in the open much higher, but its utilization more expensive. The possibility of using such a form of energy conversion in the city of Umag at the end of the work was also discussed.
