Abstract
Cilj ovog rada je analiza principa rada balastnog sustava i njegovih ključnih dijelova. U radu su opisani svi bitni dijelovi balastnog sustava, njihova namjena i povezanost. U drugom dijelu rada fokus je na projektiranju balastnog sustava za polarnu jahtu duljine 116,2 m. U zadnjem dijelu rada izrađen je model balastnog sustava polarne jahte u programu AFT Fathom te su simulirane situacije pražnjenja i punjenja balastnih tankova. Također je objašnjen postupak rada u programu te su prikazani dobiveni rezultati.
Abstract (english)
The main goal of this thesis is is to analyse ballast system working principle and its key parts. In the thesis, all the important parts of the ballast system have been described as well as their function and mutual connection. The second part of the thesis is directed at the design of a ballast system of a polar yacht whose lenght is 116,2 m. In the final part of the thesis a model of the ballast system has been made in AFT Fathom software, as well as the simulations of filling and emptying of ballast tanks. Furthermore, an explanation of the procedure has been made and the results from the simulation have been shown.
