Abstract
Diffie-Hellman protokol za razmjenu ključeva javnim komunikacijskim kanalom jedan je od prvih protokola takve vrste. Omogućuje sudionicima da razmjenom javnih ključeva uspostave jedan zajednički ključ koji je poznat samo njima, taj ključ se ujedno naziva i zajednička tajna. Ovaj rad opisuje koje preduvjete treba ispuniti kako bi se napravila programska implementacija protokola, kao i koje probleme treba prevladati kako bi se protokol mogao optimizirati. Također opisana je i implementacija protokola korištenjem eliptičnih krivulja kao i njeno optimizacijsko rješenje. Na kraju rada napravljena je usporedba performansi i razina sigurnosti u ovisnosti o duljini ključeva.
Abstract (english)
Diffie-Hellman key exchange is one of the first protocols of its kind. It allows participants to exchange public keys to establish a key that is known only to them, and this key is also known as a shared secret. This paper describes what prerequisites need to be met in order for a protocol to be implemented, as well as what problems must be overcome in order for the protocol to be optimized. The implementation of the protocol using elliptic curves is also described, as well as its optimization. At the end of the paper a comparison of performance and security level was made.
