Abstract
Rad sadržava pregled stanja današnje nuklearne industrije, uzevši u obzir broj reaktora i ukupnu proizvedenu energiju. Također, dan je opis tipova reaktora koji se danas koriste u komercijalne svrhe. Opisan je nuklearni gorivi ciklus i utjecaj na okoliš nuklearne industrije. Veći dio rada posvećen je reaktorima s rastaljenim solima kao rashladnim sredstvom, odnosno opisan je njihov način rada, vrste soli koje se koriste, dan je povijesni pregled, opisane su različite konstrukcije reaktora, navedeni su problemi s kojima se ovaj novi tip reaktora susreće, kao i prioriteti razvoja i istraživanja te su nabrojane prednosti i nedostaci tog tipa reaktora.
Abstract (english)
This paper contains an overview of the nuclear industry today, considering the number of reactors and total produced energy. Also, there is a description of different reactor types used today for commercial purposes. The impact of nuclear energy on the environment is described, as well as the nuclear fuel cycle. The better part of the paper is focused on molten salt reactors, that is their principle of work, types of salts used, history, different designs, problems this new type of reactor encounters, as well as reasearch and development priorities and advantages and disadvantages of this reactor type.
