Abstract
Ethereum platforma za izgradnju pametnih ugovora temelji se na blockchain tehnologiji koja je opisana u radu “Konsenzus u Ethereum 2.0 blockchainu“. PoW konsenzus mehanizam koji se koristi kod platforme Ethereum sprema svako prethodno stanje mreže na temelju kojeg se računa novo stanje što rezultira ograničenjem skalabilnosti. Zbog tog razloga u tijeku je prijelaz na novi konsenzus mehanizam kao i promjena arhitekture mreže čime će se postići povećanje skalabilnosti. U ovom radu analizira se PoS konsenzus mehanizam kao i promjena arhitekture mreže pomoću layer 2 rješenja.
Abstract (english)
The Ethereum platform for building smart contracts is based on the blockchain technology described in the paper "Consensus in the Ethereum 2.0 blockchain". The PoW consensus mechanism used by the Ethereum platform stores each previous network state based on which a new state is calculated resulting in a scalability limitation. For this reason, the transition to a new consensus mechanism is underway, as well as a change in the network architecture, which will increase scalability. This paper analyzes the PoS consensus mechanism as well as the change of network architecture using layer 2 solutions.
