Abstract
U uvodnom dijelu opisan je rad dizelskih motora, njihova važnost za gospodarstvo ali i problema koje uzrokuju. Povrh toga opisana je instalacija OpenFOAM softvera na Windows operativni sustav, te je na primjeru Volkswagen motora izrađena simulacija izgaranja bazirana na računalnoj dinamici fluida. Opisana je i priprema aplikacije za simulaciju te je prikazana analiza promjene temperature, tlaka i kemijskih sastojaka tijekom procesa
Abstract (english)
The introductory part describes the working principle of diesel engines, their importance for the economy and the problems they cause. Moreover, the installation process of OpenFOAM software on Windows operating system is described and a combustion simulation based on Computational Fluid Dynamics is made using the example of a Volkswagen engine. The preparation of the application behind the simulation and the analysis in changes of temperature, pressure and chemical ingredients during the process is presented and described as well.
