Abstract
U ovom radu prikazan je postupak izrade numeričke simulacije procesa izgaranja vodika sa zrakom u komori izgaranja oblika cilindra sitnih dimenzija, odnosno mikrocilindru, koristeći CFD softvere OpenFOAM i ANSYS Fluent. Analizirani su rezultati dobiveni za 2D i 3D numeričku domenu te za provodene simulacije s dvije različite vrijednosti masenog protoka smjese. Pokazano je da dimenzionalnost domene značajno utječe na promatrane rezultate raspodjele temperatura fluida, brzina i masenog udjela vodika u domeni. Temperatura stijenke cilindra je manja kod slučajeva s 3D domenom u odnosu na temperaturu kod 2D domene. Nadalje je zaključeno da smanjenje masenog protoka ne utječe na maksimalnu postignutu temperaturu, ali utječe na mjesto formiranja plamena.
Abstract (english)
This thesis presents the process of creating a numerical simulation of hydrogen and air combustion in a small-scale cylinder combustion chamber, that is micro-cylinder, using CFD software OpenFOAM and ANSYS Fluent. The results obtained for 2D and 3D numerical domains and simulations with two different mass flow rate values of the mixture were analyzed. It was shown that the dimensionality of the domain significantly affects the observed results of fluid temperature distribution, velocities, and hydrogen mass fraction within the domain. The cylinder wall temperature is lower in cases with a 3D domain compared to the temperature in the 2D domain. Furthermore, it was concluded that a reduction in mass flow rate does not affect the maximum achieved temperature but does influence the flame formation location.
