Abstract
Sidro je naprava izrađena najčešće od metala koja služi da bi plovni objekt ostao na jednom mjestu. Vezano je za brod željeznim lancem ili užetom. Prva sidra razvila su se zajedno sa prvim brodovima u Egiptu. Sidrenje se vrši sidrenim uređajem koje se sastoji od tri osnovna elementa: sidra, lanca i sidrenog vitla. Brodovi mogu imati dva ili više sidara. Brodu nije dopušteno isplovljavanje iz luke bez jednog sidra. Broj sidara ovisi o veličini broda. Dijele se na pramčana, rezervna, krmena, sidarca i sidra za čamce. Najzastupljenija sidra jesu Hallovo, Admiralitetsko i Danforthovo. Sidreni lanci se sastoje od niza karika uvučenih jedna u drugu a služe za spuštanje i dizanje sidra te se izrađuju od kovanog čelika. Sidreno ždrijelo je cijev kojom lanac prolazi do palube kaštela. Kad je brod usidren, lanac se može zakočiti na sidrenom vitlu. Sidrena vitla služe za spuštanje i dizanje sidra. Sidreno vitlo može raditi na dvije vrste pogona, hidraulički ili električni pogon. Lančanik služi kao posebna vrsta spremišta lanaca izgrađena u strukturi broda.
Abstract (english)
An anchor is a device usually made of metal that serves to keep a vessel in one place. It is tied to the ship with an iron chain or rope. The first anchors developed together with the first ships in Egypt. Anchoring is done with an anchor device that consists of three basic elements: anchor, chain and anchor winch. Ships can have two or more anchors. The ship is not allowed to leave the port without one anchor. The number of anchors depends on the size of the ship. They are divided into bow, reserve, stern, anchor and boat anchors. The most represented anchors are Hall's, Admiralty's and Danforth's. Anchor chains consist of a series of links inserted into each other and are used for lowering and raising the anchor and are made of forged steel. The anchor throat is the pipe through which the chain passes to the deck of the castle. When the ship is anchored, the chain can be braked on the anchor windlass. Anchor winches are used for lowering and raising the anchor. The anchor windlass can work on two types of drive, hydraulic or electric drive. The chain rack serves as a special type of chain storage built into the ship's structure.
