Abstract
Konvencionalne metode toplinske obrade koje imaju cilj postići određena mehanička svojstva kod čelika, se sastoje od zagrijavanja čelika do određenih temperatura, zadržavanje na istima te kontinuiranog ili naglog hlađenja obradaka kako bi se postigla određena mikrostruktura. Žarenje, kaljenje i popuštanje, odnosno njihova kombinacija, najvažniji su oblici toplinske obrade korištene kako bi se modificirala mikrostruktura i svojstva čelika. Mikrostruktura dobivena bilo kojim navedenim načinom toplinske obrade može biti utvrđena korištenjem TTT i CCT dijagrama za određeni čelik. Veze između tvrdoće, čvrstoće, žilavosti, sadržaja ugljika te ostalih legirnih elemenata i njihov međusoban utjecaj na toplinsku obradu čelika važan je kada se trebaju zadovoljiti određeni zahtjevi konstruktora. Uspjeh toplinske obrade garantirat će da će strojni dio biti u mogućnosti obavljati posao za koji je namijenjen.
Abstract (english)
Conventional heat treatment procedures that have a goal to produce steel with specific mechanical properties involve heating parts to specific temperatures and continuous or rapid cooling of workpieces. Annealing, quenching, tempering and their combination are the most important types of heat treatments that can be used to modify the microstructure and properties of steel. The microstructures obtained by any of the mentioned means can be anticipated by the use of TTT and CCT diagrams for a specific steel grade. The relationships between hardness, strength, toughness, carbon content and other alloying elements along with their mutual influence on heat treatment is important when certain requirements set by the constructor have to be obtained. Successful heat treatment will guarantee that a specific workpice will be able to withstand all of the tasks it is meant to fulfill.
