This thesis presents the process of developing concepts, choosing the optimal variant and calculating the structure, as well as the drive units for a mobile elevator for plastic pipe transport. In the introduction working principles of the mobile elevator are described, after which three conceptual solutions are presented which, after an evaluation and decision-making process, lead to choosing the optimal concept. The quantitative evaluation method lead to choosing the concept with the highest number of points which have, together with the project input data, defined the further course of calculations. The calculations consist of four segments. The first segment includes the vertical part of the elevator with the rubber belt, drive drum, vertical shaft, electric motor with a gear unit and coupling, and the belt tensioning device. The second segment focuses on the horizontal part of the elevator which consists of the support rollers with a rubber belt, horizontal shaft, electric motor with gearbox and the belt tensioning device. The third segment refers to battery and electric wheels calculations and the final fourth segment on the load bearing construction of the mobile elevator. The design process is concluded with completing the technical documentation, along with the accompanying technical drawings.
